Lip Cancer
Symptoms and Diagnosis
A non-healing sore, or a patch that crusts or bleeds, can be the first sign of lip cancer. Diagnosis is made with a small biopsy.
Symptoms and diagnosis
Lip cancer usually begins on the lower lip as a sore that will not heal, or a patch that crusts and occasionally bleeds. Years of sun exposure and smoking are the main risk factors.
Diagnosis is made with a small biopsy. Where needed, the neck lymph nodes are checked with ultrasound.
