First your complaints and history are heard; then you are examined. If needed, endoscopic evaluation and neck ultrasound are performed in the same session. The findings and the path ahead are explained to you in plain language.

In most cases, yes. Neck ultrasound is part of the examination; if a fine-needle biopsy is needed, it is usually performed in the same session, under ultrasound guidance.

If you have them, previous ultrasound, MRI or CT reports and images, biopsy or pathology results, blood tests and a list of your current medications will speed up the assessment. If not, that is no problem — the necessary investigations are arranged.
