How We Work

A clear path from first visit to treatment

At your first visit, your complaints are heard, you are examined, and — when needed — a neck ultrasound is performed in the same session. If a biopsy is required for diagnosis, it can also be planned in the office.

Results are explained to you in plain language. If treatment is needed, the options, expectations and process are discussed and decided together.

Thyroid Cancer

Most nodules found in the thyroid gland are benign — but knowing which ones need further investigation takes expertise. In the office, thyroid nodules are evaluated with ultrasound, and fine-needle aspiration biopsy is performed on those that warrant it.

When cancer is diagnosed, surgery is the cornerstone of treatment. The operation is planned individually according to the tumor's type, size and extent, with particular care taken to protect the vocal cord nerves and the parathyroid glands.

Salivary Gland Tumors

Most growths in the salivary glands — in front of the ear (parotid), under the jaw or inside the mouth — are benign, but accurate diagnosis and timely treatment still matter. Evaluation is done with ultrasound and, when needed, biopsy.

When surgery is required, especially in operations on the parotid gland, preserving the facial nerve is the most critical part of treatment, and the operation is planned around that priority.

Neck Masses

A lump in the neck can have many causes — from lymph nodes enlarged by infection to congenital cysts and tumors. What matters is identifying the source correctly, without losing time.

After examination and ultrasound assessment, a biopsy is performed if needed. Once the cause is established, observation, medication or surgery is planned together with you.

Branchial Cleft Cysts

Branchial cleft cysts are congenital neck cysts that form when structures that should close during development in the womb remain open. They are usually noticed as a painless swelling on the side of the neck and can occasionally become infected and enlarge.

The definitive treatment is complete surgical removal of the cyst together with its tract, which keeps the risk of recurrence to a minimum.

Eagle Syndrome

Eagle syndrome is a frequently overlooked condition in which an elongated styloid process at the skull base causes a pricking sensation in the throat, pain on swallowing, pain radiating to the ear and complaints that worsen with neck movement.

Diagnosis is made through examination and imaging. In patients with significant symptoms, surgically shortening the elongated process can bring lasting relief.

Ultrasound & Biopsy

Neck ultrasound is a painless, radiation-free and fast way to evaluate the thyroid, salivary glands and lymph nodes. In this practice, ultrasound is performed by the physician herself as a natural part of the examination.

For suspicious findings, ultrasound-guided fine-needle aspiration biopsy can usually be done in the same session. This integrated approach significantly shortens the time to diagnosis.
